1. This volunteer position is assigned by the Parent Reps and is needed only at home meets.

2. The Announcer calls swimmers to the heating area approximately three events ahead, giving first, second and final calls.

3. The Announcer is responsible for announcing cumulative team scores as that information is provided from Scoring. Generally these announcements are provided after events 12, 28, 38, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90.

4. The Announcer is also responsible for providing announcements as may be necessary during the meet to assist in meet operations, such as advising of approaching volunteer shift changes, and calling for missing volunteers.

5. The Announcer provides music and the National Anthem during pre-meet activities.

6. The Announcer is responsible for storage and maintenance of the electronic public address system used at home meets, including the microphones, amplifiers, wiring, and speakers.

7. The Announcer is responsible for setting up and taking down the public address system at all home meets.
